Speaking at a press conference today, the government adviser (communications) Parakala Prabhakar said that the government had distributed one lakh ration cards during the six days of the Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru programme.
He said that 43,055 gram sabhas were conducted till date and the government received 6.14 lakh grievances on the first five days. The government had sanctioned 58,288 new pensions. As many as 25,000 spectacles were distributed to the needy and 9,677 health camps were organized.
Parakala Prabhakar said that grading system was introduced to evaluate the performance of every district. Forty percent marks were given to grievances received and addressed and participation of people, and another 40% was given to reports published in newspapers. The remaining 20% was for opinions expressed in social media. The grades were being given based on the IVRS survey on these categories.
“ A district would be given C grade if it gets marks of up to 50%, B grade if it gets 50% to 70% and A grade if it gets above 70% ‘, he said.
