The stage has been set for the grand start of Nandi Natakotsavam, the prestigious state-organized theatre festival at Mahati auditorium today.
In all, 43 plays and play-lets will be performed during the twelve day event including social and mythological themes. Minister for Environment and Forest Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy at a review meeting with the officials termed it as an opportunity to project the glory of the theatre art of Telugus to the public. Chittoor MP N.Siva Prasad termed it a major landmark event in Tirupati as it is held for the first time after bifurcation of the State. District Collector Siddarth Jain instructed the officials to ensure all arrangements in time.
