Nandamuri Balakrishna occupies Chief Minister’s chair creates flutter

Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna created a flutter both in the government and political circles by occupying the Chief Minister’s chair at the Chief Minister’s camp office today.

The Minister for Water Resources Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao and senior IAS officials remained mute spectators as the MLA quite unwittingly occupied the Chief Minister’s chair. Uma sat in a seat close to the MLA who conducted the review meeting on the Lepakshi festival pertaining to his constituency in Anantapur district. He said that actress Hema Malini would attend the two-day festival. Cine actors were invited including Mahesh Babu.

The entire programme was divided into five zones – main venue, cultural, felicitations, bazaar zone ad food, Kho-kho, Kabaddi, etc., traditional games would be conducted. The government had already released Rs.2 crore for the festival, he said. The festival would be held on March 9 and 10.

Secretary (Tourism) Mukesh Kumar Meena, APTDC MD Himanshu Shukla, R&B Special Chief secretary Neerab Kumar Prasad, Anantapur Joint Collector Ramamani and others were present.
