NRI wing of TDP approaches police over emails to arrest Chandrababu Naidu

Thursday, May 11, 2017

The TDP NRI wing has approached Irving Mayor Beth Van Dyne and lodged a complaint with Irving country police seeking to know the origin of the e-mails that sought US officials to arrest Chandrababu Naidu.

TDP official spokesperson and Vijayawada Central MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao today confirmed that a complaint was lodged with the Irving police. TDP NRI wing members spoke to the Mayor regarding emails. The Mayor was said to have told them that details of the persons who had sent the emails could not be disclosed as per the American Privacy Act.

It may be recalled that the anonymous e-mails snowballed into a political controversy with the TDP and the YSRCP trading charges against each other. The mails alleged that Chandrababu was on a mission to US to collect illegal donations and that he was responsible for the death of over six persons in Rayalaseema by branding them as red sanders smugglers.
