The National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) and Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology is planning to open its office at Amaravati.
The State government has entered into a MoU with the NRDC and Chandrababu announced Rs.100 crore to give a boost to start-up companies, said NRDC CMD H.Purushotham during his visit to Amaravati. The NRDC has launched Startup India campaign in January last year and opened its office in Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. If the government allots 10 acres of land in the capital, we are ready to start up our branch in Amaravati. It helps in promoting new companies and motivating budding entrepreneurs’, he said.
The corporation is planning to organize awareness programme and exhibitions in universities, professional colleges, and PG and degree colleges to forge institute-industry tie-ups and launch more incubation centres and new ventures with innovative ideas.
Once ‘we open our office in Amaravati, we will focus on setting up more incubation centres and help young entrepreneurs to launch companies and unique ideas in the State’, he added.
