Mudragada Padmanabham couple sits in ‘indefinite hunger strike’

Demanding reservation for Kapu community into BCs list, former Minister and Kapus’ leader Mudragada Padmanabham and his wife Padmavati sat in ‘nirahara deeksha’ today at his residence in Kirlampudi.

In this back drop, police have posted heavy security including 1,000 paramilitary personnel , Six DSPs, 24 Circle Inspectors and 50 Sub Inspectors. Check posts have been posted on the national highway.

Mudragada Padmanabham requested his supporters to express support and solidarity from their villages only by skipping lunch. He appealed the supporters not to visit Kirlampudi. He said that there is no question of go back on ‘nirahara deeksha’ till the demands are met by the government. He urged the supporters not to take any extreme action.

Doctors have conducted health check on Mudragada Padmanabham and his wife Padmavati. The BP level of Mudragada Padmanabham is 160/120, Sugar levels are 170 while his wife’s BP level is 120/100 and sugar level is 120.
