Mudra Communications founder AG Krishna Murty passed away

A.G.Krishnamurty, a doyen in the advertising world who founded Mudra Communications, and the Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad passed away here today morning.

Krishna Murty (73) is survived by his wife, three daughters and a son was hospitalized a week ago. The funeral was held in the afternoon according to his son A.Kalyan.

Atchyutani Gopala Krishna Murty born on April 28, 1942 at Vinukonda has founded Mudra Communications Ltd., on March 25, 1980. He was the founder Chairman and Managing Director. Krishna Murty had his graduation with B.A. in history from Andhra University. He began his career at Calico Mills in 1968 and moved to Shilpi Advertising as an Account Executive in 1972. He in the year 1976 joined Reliance Industries as Advertising Manager and moved out of it to start up his own ‘Mudra Communications’ in 1980. He retired in March 2003 and handed it to Madhukar Kamath in 2003 and set up a consultancy ‘AGK Brand Consulting’.
