MoU signed for setting up of hospital at Amaravati

The State Government and the Indo-UK Institute of Health have entered into a MoU here to establish a 1,000 bed hospital along with a medical and a nursing college at Amaravati with an investment of Rs.1,000 crore. This is the first of 11 hospitals the Indo-UK Health Institute is establishing in the country with an investment of 2 billion US dollars for which an agreement has been signed during Prime Minister’s visit to UK. The foundation stone for the hospital would be laid before June and the project tht would take up three years to complete would start its first phase with 250 beds within six months while the college would be run with the assistance from the Oxford University College.
