Ministers say that the TDP can go alone for next general elections

Sunday, January 28, 2018

Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Minister for Municipal Administration P.Narayana today said that the TDP was ready to go to the people in the next general elections alone if the BJP walked out of the alliance.

Speaking to media, the Ministers said that they were following ‘mitra dharma’ despite criticism from the local BJP leaders. They said that the YSRCP would lose the Opposition party status after the next elections. Instead of discussing the prevailing issues, the YSRCP president chose to boycott the Assembly and embark on a padayatra.

The TDP State president and Energy Minister K.Kala Venkata Rao said the tie-up between the BJP and the TDP would remain intact. He said that the TDP would not attack much importance to the statements of the BJP leaders as issues pertaining to electoral understanding would be between the leadership of both the parties.
