Maoists term the AOB encounter as fake and targets on Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh

The Communist Party of India (Maoist) Andhra Pradesh State Committee has termed the encounter that took place a couple of days ago in Andhra Odisha Border (AOB) as a fake encounter.

They threatened to take revenge against the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh. In a press release sent to the media and signed by CPI (Maoist) AP State committee official spokesman Shyam on Wednesday, the Maoists said that the AOB encounter was a major covert operation in the history of revolution in which over 6,000 police personnel were involved. He said that police used some coverts to get food laced with sedatives served to the Maoists and gunned down the leaders and dalam members after they fell unconscious, the party alleged.

Shyam said that Chandrababu Naidu had escaped in Alipiri attack but this time he cannot and if necessary, we will carry out suicide attack’, he threatened. In a five page release, he said that ‘The AOB encounter is a planned attack by the State and Central governments. In the name of law, Constitution and democracy, police are protecting political fraudsters and killing Maoists with an eye on awards, he alleged.

Shyam said that he had given instructions to the party’s district committees to prepare a list of the coverts and the Maoists will eliminate them. After we let off former Naxalites on humanitarian grounds, they became coverts, he said.
