The Telugu Desam Party will all the Council seats as Chandrababu Naidu is developing the state despite resource crunch said Deputy Chief Minister K.E.Krishna Murty.
KE Krishna Murty said that the Chief Minsiter fulfilled almost half of the promises he had made in the first Independence Day celebrations organized in Kurnool post-bifurcation. He said that YSRCP has remote chances of winning the seats though it is in the fray. He said that the number of TDP MLAs in Kurnool district had increased from three to eight with some YSRCP MLAs switching to the ruling party.
Meanwhile YSRCP general secretary Balineni Srinivasa Reddy on Sunday said in Ongole that the party extends support to Left parties-backed Progressive Democratic Front (PDF) candidates in the March 9 elections to the teachers and graduates constituencies. He said that all democratic forces should join hands to teach a lesson to the ruling party which is misusing official machinery to win the elections by hook or by crook. Congress candidate for the Graduates’ constituency E.Ramachandra Reddy alleged at a press conference that the TDPP was trying to lure voters by distributing smart phones, tablets, and laptops. ‘We have provided details to the Election Commission’, he said.
In Nellore, Local Authorities’ Constituency is getting keener by the day with the rival parties, YSRCP and TDP making a strong bid to win the seat by redrawing their strategies. In terms of number, the ruling party is strongly poised with nearly 500 out of 840 voters being in its favour. A considerable chunk of MPTC and ZPTC memes and people’s representatives in Municipal bodies have shifted loyalities to the TDP after winning on the YSRCP ticket.
