MLA Bhuma Nagi Reddy dead

TDP Nandyal MLA Bhuma Nagi Reddy died of cardiac arrest today.

According to sources, he sustained heart attack in the wee hours on Sunday and was immediately rushed to hospital at Allagadda. After extending immediate first aid medical treatment was rushed to Nandyal.

Nagi Reddy was shifted to Suraksha Hospitals where the doctors did their best to save him for two hours but could not. Doctors said that the pulse rate was dropped following he sustained fits.

Nagi Reddy had undergone by-pass surgery in 1999 and underwent angiogram one half years ago following heart attacks. He was suffering with hypertension and sugar. Severe tension is said to be the reason for cardiac failure.

Bhuma Nagi Reddy was born on January 8, 1964 in a remote village of Kothapalle of Dornipadu Mandal , the youngest son of Bhuma Bali Reddy and Eeswaramma. He lost his wife Shoba Nagi Reddy who was also an MLA in 2014 in a car accident. He is survived by Bhuna Jagat Vikhyat Reddy, Bhuma Mounika and Bhuma Akhila Priya. He is a famous politician from Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh. He is currently in Telugu Desam Party.

He entered politics in 1987 after his father Bhuma Bali Reddy was murdered. He has his stint in politics through an entry into local bodies. He contested from Allagadda Assembly constituency in 1991 after his brother Bhuma Sekhar Reddy, a sitting MLA died of a heart attack. He won the by-election.
