The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority is preparing for an aerial Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) survey of the outer and inner ring roads, for which Temporary Benchmarks and Digital Global Positioning System survey pillars are being installed.
CRDA Commissioner Cherukuri Sreedhar said in a press conference that the TBM and DGPS pillars were only primary reference points for carrying out further survey but not in any way connected to the fixing of the Right of Way or the central line of the proposed alignments.. He said that 188 km ORR and 97 km IRR are being laid by the National Highways Authority of India. He added that the ORR and IRR is under progress.
