Telugu Desam Party MP and Kesineni Travels owner Kesineni Srinivas (Nani) has expressed their anger over Road Transport Commissioner Balasubrahmanyam in an unprintable language.
Nani along with Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, MLC Budda Venkanna, Police Housing Board Chairman Nagul Meera, Vijayawada Mayor Koneru Sridhar along with 200 followers on Saturday surrendered him on a road in Vijayawada for over two hours. They accused and insulted him in an indecent manner. They even demanded an unconditional apology from him. Police DCP Pal Raj and Transport DTC Meera Prasad have appealed them but of no use.
According to sources, Orange travels bus in the last month 22nd hit a person at Autonagar killing him. The Transport officials have seized the bus and shifted to RTA office. The officials have to give a report after verification of the condition of the bus. The Road Transport Commissioner visited the DTC office on Saturday to verify the file. Meanwhile, Pattabhi, a close follower of Nani reached the office and asked the RTA Commissioner to prepare the report in a manner they wanted which the file was already prepared. The Commissioner reacting Pattabhi clarified that they know the law and know how to prepare the report.
Knowing this, Nani along with 200 followers reached the DTC office and when the Commissioner was going back was stopped and surrendered him and abused him. Meanwhile, the other leaders including Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, MLC Buddha Venkanna, State Police Housing Corporation Chairman Nagul Meera, Vijayawada Mayor Koneru Sridhar, TDP corporators and other activists reached the spot. They too instead of pacifying the situation got it aggravated .
The Transport department officials and police officials were shocked at the way the leaders are behaving with the Commissioner and the DTC RTA Meera Prasad with folded handed appealed the leaders to leave the Commissioner which was left unheard. The people were shocked to see the scene on the road and the behavior of the leaders with an IPS officer.
RTA officials to boycott works on Monday::
Sources said that officials of the Road Transport Corporation are planning to go for an agitation for the highhandedness of Nani on the Transport Commissioner and his gunmen. One of the transport department association leader said that an action plan will be chalked out on Sunday and initially they will boycott the works in all RTA offices on Monday.
