JNU Students Union president Kanhaiya Kumar will address the students of University of Hyderabad today who are holding a protest demanding justice to Rohit Vemula, a Dalit scholar who committed suicide. Sources said that the University of Hyderabad officials said that the gates leading to the campus would be closed and no outsider will be allowed into it.
Meanwhile, UoH students president Zuhai KP said that the programme with Kanhaiya was a fixed much before the return of Vice-Chancellor P.Appa Rao and nothing to do with it. Kanhaiya Kumar will address the students and the problems faced by them. Security officials claim that only students of the UoH will be allowed after showing their identity cards.
