Flipkart has promoted Kalyan Krishnamurthy as the new Chief Executive to run the operations in India replacing co-founder Binny Bansal who has been elevated to the position of Group CEO.
Krishnamurthy joined the organization in June last year as head of ‘category design organization. Flipkart’s largest investor Tiger Global, a New York based investment firm has hired him.
Mr. Krishnamurthy joined Flipkart in June last year as head of ‘category design organization.’ He was hired from Flipkart’s largest investor Tiger Global, a New York-based investment firm.
Flipkart said that Nitin Seth, presently the Chief Administrative officer, will be the Chief Operating Officer for the company and will report to Krishnamurthy. In his new role, Seth will be responsible for the company’s logistics arm Ekart and customer experience in addition to his existing role of leading human resources, strategy to execution capabilities and corporate functions for Flipkart.
