A team led by Krishna Vamsi, student of KKR and KSR Institute of Technology, Guntur has won the Fintech Valley student challenged held in Visakhapatnam on Monday.
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu presented them a cheque for Rs.2 lakh. Students from 15 colleges participated in a four-week summer program (Fintech Valley Student Challenge) on Blockchain, at Fintech Valley as part of the State government and APITA initiative and implemented by IDEALABS.
Pankaj Diwan, MD of IDEALABS said that Fintech Valley Initiative launched by the State government is a very progressive initiative and will go a long way in seeding entrepreneurship. College secretary Koye Subba Rao said that Vamsi had earlier rejected a job offer of Rs.50 lakh for his prototype developed on Blockchain and instead he has chosen to become an entrepreneur in an incubation unit.
