Former Union Minister Jairam Ramesh highlighting the Central government’s indifference towards the development of the State asked Chandrababu Naidu to take the final trip to New Delhi and announce his decision to withdraw support to the NDA government.

Speaking to the media here at the Institute of Pregnant Women near the Sri Venkateswara Medical College here today, he said that in the past four years, Chandrababu Naidu has visited Delhi for 29 times had yielded a big zero. He should take the 30th trip, probably the last one to Delhi to tell the Prime Minister that they are backing from the alliance. He said that Modi is not serious about the assurances made to the State.

He blamed the State and the Centre for lack of their seriousness in rebuilding the State. He said that the implementation of the promises or assurances could be only a reality only by the Congress party. ‘All provisions including the six commitments made by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, were known to all the leaders. However, nothing has been done till now. On the SCS, Ramesh said the 14th Finance Commission had not recommended removing the policy and it was entirely the BJP’s decision to wrap it up in 2015 despite Narendra Modi taking charge in 2014.
