Jagan meets Governor seeks to direct government for CBI inquiry

YSRCP president and Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and some leaders called on Governor E.S.L.Narasimhan and submitted a memorandum alleging that the TDP government is encouraging political murders.

In the representation, he sought him to direct the government to hand over the murder case to CBI as the party has no faith on the State agencies. He alleged the role of Deputy Chief Minister K.E.Krishna Murty in the killing of Narayana Reddy with the support of the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

Speaking to media after the meeting, Jagan explained the circumstances that led the killing of party’s in charge of the Pathikonda Assembly Constituency Narayana Reddy. He said that it is a planned murder by the State since the slain leader was not provided gunmen even after approaching the court about the impending threat to his life from his political rivals. The deceased leader was made to surrender his weapon during the elections to the Legislative Council and was not handed back to him by the police along with the renewal of licence. This showed that it was all part of a conspiracy to eliminate the party leader. It may be recalled YSRCP leader Narayana Reddy and his aide Sambasivudu murdered in a broad day light on May 21, 2017.

Those responsible will not be spared’, says Chandrababu Naidu

Chandrababu Naidu reacting over the murders said that those responsible for the recent murders in Prakasam and Kurnool districts will not be spared. Speaking at a media conference, he said that he had fought against such murder politics all his life. He alleged that the family of Jagan Mohan Reddy began factional politics. He said that Jagan’s grandfather YS Raja Reddy and Jagan’s father Rajasekhara Reddy indulged in factional politics in the Rayalaseema region.

Deputy Chief Minister’s son booked::

Kurnool police registered a case on Monday against 15 persons including K.E.Syam Babu, son of the Deputy Chief Minister K.E.Krishna Murty in the murder case. Those booked included Bojjamma, daughter of Kappatralla Venkatappaiah Naidu according to police. Police reportedly took two person were present at the scene of the murders and seized a tractor used by the assailants.
