YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has served legal notices to TV9, ABN Andhra Jyothi and ETV for telecasting content damaging his reputation without verifying facts.
The reports were based on a tweet purportedly aired by Enforcement Directorate naming shell company and attributing it to Jagan which is not a verified fact.
According to sources the Enforcement Directorate has reportedly tweeted that searches have been served on former Maharashtra Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, Yadav Singh who is facing charges in the scam of National Rural Health Mission, AP Opposition Party leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and AGS Infotech, Rajeswar Exports and others who are facing charges in others. In another tweet, it reportedly said that t had conducted searches nearly 300 organizations in the country.
The fact is that Rajeswar Exports belongs to Riteish Jain of Euro Gold Jewellery Private Ltd. The ED has reportedly said that money laundering had taken place to the tune of hundreds of crores in the first week and arrested some persons.
The above Telugu three channels have telecasted that Jagan Mohan Reddy had connection and links with Rajeswar Exports and telecasted some stories on Jagan adding with their own content.
The lawyer of Jagan said that the company name of Rajeswar Exports is not known to his client Jagan Mohan Reddy and the three channels had aired content intentionally to damage the prestige of his client without verifying the facts . The notice said that the content aired is with an intention to damage the social status of his client and hence, the notices were sent why action under civil/criminal cannot be taken against the said TV channels.
