YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy today said that prohibition would be introduced in the State in a phased manner if the party voted to power in the next general elections.
Responding the pleas of women who complained their husband were getting addicted to liquor as they had no work following severe drought for the fourth year in succession, he announced the same. He resumed the Praja Sankalpa Yatra after giving a day’s break to enable the activists to take part in the picketing programme for Special Category Status. Jagan said that the TDP’s promise to shut down belt shops remained in paper. He said that the situation in the State has turned bad to worse with the door delivery of alcohol to tipplers. People were finding difficult to get a few pots of safe drinking water in fluoride affect district, but liquor flowed freely in every nook and corner of the district.
Participation in Holy celebrations:: Jagan has participated in Holy celebrations with allowing a group of girls from an engineering college at Chimakurthy in the district. He allowed revelers to apply colors on him and take selfies. In twee, he wished everyone a safe and fun-filled Holi. He hoped Holi would fill the lives of people with joy and usher in a rosy future’.
