YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy will be taking up his six-month Praja Sankalpa Padayatra on November 6.
The date of commencement of the Praja Sankalpa Padayatra was announced after the executive committee meeting of the party held in Hyderabad today.
Speaking to media, the party leaders Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy and Ummareddy Venkateswarlu said that the Padayatra would cover 3,000 km right from Idupulapaya to Itchapuram covering 125 Assembly constituencies. It may be recalled that Jagan has to postpone the padayatra slated to November 2 following denial of permission by CBI court over his personal appearance.CBI court quashes Jagan’s plea for personal appearance exemption. They said that Jagan would explain to the people the failures of Chandrababu Naidu led TDP government and on Special Category Status. In an effort to send the message that he had complete faith on the judiciary as he has to attend the court every Friday and resume the yatra on the very next day.
According to party sources, the Yatra would begin at 11am on November 6 from Idupulapaya and it would end at Itchapuram. He would embark of the Padayatra after offering prayers to Sri Venkateswara Swamy at Tirumala in the morning. They said that the remaining 50 constituencies would be covered by bus.
As a regular routine schedule, Jagan would interact with visitors from 8am to 8.30am and the Padayatra would continue till 12 noon. There would be another session of meeting visitors from 3pm to 3.30pm before resuming his yatra, they said.
