YSRCP president Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy today launched ‘YSR Kutumbam’, a mass contact programme envisaging enrolment of one crore families as members of the party.
Booth-level and village level committee conveners were being imparted training to visit every household from September 11 to October 2 and will enlighten the people on the developmental and welfare schemes such as fee-reimbursement, free treatment in corporate hospitals, pensions, and housing for all implemented during the golden rule of former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy. He wanted them to propagate the ‘Navaratna’ schemes proposed to be implemented by the party after it comes to power.
Jagan announced that he would undertake a six-month padayatra in the State from October 27. He said that his goal was to enroll at least one member from every family in YSRCP. Anyone could enroll themselves by giving a missed call to the mobile number 92211091210. Within a couple of days, the YSRCP members would contact and enlist the family details, their problems in availing of benefits such as ration card, NTR Vaidya Seva and fee reimbursement and compile a data base so that he could resolve the issues on a war-footing after coming to power.
Jagan assured to set up village-level secretariats for implementation of government schemes. He said that 10 educated youth from various communities would be employed in every village to resolve the problems of the people.
