The Jana Sena Party today announced the name of it’s first candidate, Pithani Balakrishna of the Mummadivaram Assembly constituency in East Godavari to contest in the Assembly elections in 2019.

He joined the party on Tuesday along with his followers and was the YSRCP coordinator for the constituency. Pawan Kalyan invited him by presenting the party scarfs. ‘My caste and Pithani’s caste is same. It is police caste. My father served as a constable and Pithani Balakrishna also served as a constable’, he said.

Announcing the first ticket to Balakrishna was like honouring Toleti Nagaraju, who died of electrocution while tying a JSP flexi in Payakaraopeta. Both belonged to the Settibalija caste For eradication of caste, unity among castes was necessary, he said. The JSP may not have papers and channels. But the heart of its every soldier is a channel. If ideology was strong, the people’s minds would work as channels. He said that Tummalapalla Sugar Factory problem would not have been solved if there were no JSP. The government released Rs.30 crore as the fight of the party workers was strong.

There were no jobs to the youth. Gas generated in Konaseema was being diverted. But there was none to question. Hence, I entered politics but not to make money. ‘If I really want to make money, I can earn Rs.100 crore by acting in two to three films’, he said.
