Plans are afoot by the district administration to issue free passes to the general public to view the various events of Indian Navy’s prestigious International Fleet Review that is scheduled to be held on February 7.
These passes will be issued at the Mee Seva centres from the next week onwards. Around one lakh passes are being readied. Public can watch Operations Demonstration and International City Parade which are the highlights of the IFR at the Beach Road on February 7, 2016.
During the Operations Demonstrations, several warships, submarines and aircrafts including marine commandos would present an action packed display of the three dimensional capabilities of the Indian Navy. District Collector Dr. N.Yuvaraj said that they are working out modalities and estimates to enable the administration to issue passes.
