IndiGo flights to Hyderabad and Bengaluru inaugurated

Union Minister for Civil Aviation P.Ashok Gajapathi Raju said the country ranks third in the world in terms of expansion of domestic aviation sector.

He said that the aviation sector was formidably growing and expanding its network to provide more regional connectivity through higher penetration. From a mere 75 centres in 70 years, the NDA government had added 80 new flying destinations in the last three years alone, he said.

He launched IndiGo’s flight to Hyderabad and Bengaluru and received the first ticket and boarding pass from the airline’s president Aditya Ghosh for the Hyderabad flight. Aditya Ghosh said that his company achieved the rare distinction of operating 1,000 services to 47 destinations every day.

The flight leaves Tirupati for Hyderabad at 10.50am , 5.20pm and 8.55pm. The return direction timings are 6.25am, 12.40pm and 7.10pm. Similarly, the Bengaluru flight leaves Tirupati at 8.10am and 2.25pm and from Bengaluru at 9.30am and 3.40pm. The current tariff is pegged t Rs.3,500 and Rs.1,500 for Hyderabad and Bengaluru respectively.
