Former Chief Secretary and former Chairman of AP Brahmin Welfare Association IYR Krishna Rao petitioned the Governor to take action on those who posted objectionable content insulting him in the social media.
Krishna Rao met the Governor on Wednesday at Raj Bhavan. He complained him that some people are intentionally are posting posts against him and sought an action against them. Governor reportedly advised him that those who posted such objectionable posts are drainage level people and you who worked as Chief Secretary do not let your status down. ‘If you think about such people, you are increasing the level of drainage level people, he advised.
Meanwhile, Brahmin Associations have threatened to take up an agitation if action is not taken against such people within 48 hours. The leaders met the IG RK Meena in Vijayawada and submitted a memorandum. They speaking to media said that the government has insulted Krishna Rao in the most miserable manner. The government has promised to allot Rs.500 crore to the Brahmin Welfare Corporation but only given Rs.136 crore.
AP Brahmin Association president Dronam Raju Ravi Kumar speaking to media said that the government is adopting a low level system. Vijayawada former MLA and Congress leader Malladi Vishnu said that they would take up an agitation if the police did not arrest those who posted postings in social media.
