IFR stamps on sale on February 7, 2016

A commemorative postage stamp, First Day Cover and Information Brochure prepared by the department of Posts will be released by the President of India on February 6 evening. These stamps, First Day Covers and brochures will be available for sale in stall No.58 from 7pm on that day. A booklet in commemoration of past President’s Fleet Review titled ‘AIKY’ that contain write ups, charts, photographs and printouts of stamps brought out on the occasion of past President Fleet Reviews and will be available for sale from February 7 at AU grounds and at Philatelic Bureau, Visakhapatnam Head Post Office, Vemlampeta. Police impose traffic restrictions

The police have imposed traffic restrictions on the eve of IFR on February 7 at RK Beach, between Park Hotel and Naval Coast Battery from 2pm to 10pm. No vehicles will be allowed without valid vehicle pass beyond AVN College Down, KGH Junction, Dandu Bazaar, ZP Junction, Pandimetta Junction, Central Revenue Quarters Junction, Seven Hills Junction, Circuit House Junction, Patel Junction, Siripuram, Datt Island, Balaji Nagar, Mental Hospital Junction, Lawsons Bay Colony and all roads connecting to Beach Road from East Point Colony. People for medical emergency will be allowed to pass through.

APSRTC buses will not be allowed beyond Victoria Terminal, KGH OP Gate, Court Junction, Asilmetta Junction, Maddilapalem Junction, Ramalakshmi Apartment in Lawsons Bay Colony and East Point Colony.

Autos will not be allowed to ply beyond Convent Junction, Dolphin Junction, Saraswathi Park Junction, Ambedkar Junction, Dwaraka Junction, Asilmetta Junction, Rama Talkies Mosque Junction, Maddilapalem, Ramalakshmi Apartment in Lawson’s Bay and from Ushodaya Junction towards Beach Road.

APSRTC will provide shuttle service from AS Raja College to Bell Park in East Point Colony, Engineering College Grounds to Mental Hospital Junction and from Dwaraka Junction to KGH OP gate.
