A letter purportedly written by the AP IAS Officers’ Association which went viral on social media has created a flutter.

The letter which was reportedly written to the Chief Minister expressed the collective anguish of the IAS officers over the remarks made by him against them in Srikakulam. IAS Officers’ Association president L.V.Subramanyam categorically denied having written to the Chief Minister.

According to the report in the social media, the IAS officers are up in arms against the Chief Minister for his remarks that he would stage a dharna if the District Collectors failed to achieve cent percent target with regard to the ODF by March 31. The letter that turned out to be fake, pointed out that ‘the government can transfer the IAS Officers if they failed in discharging their duties. But it was not correct on the part of the Chief Minister to cast aspirations against them. The Chief Minister should understand the anguish of the officials.
