Aspirants of Civil Services experienced agonising moments today when they found their preference of options exercised on web counselling portal under NTR Vidyonnathi scheme changed in favour of some other coaching centres.

They had a sigh of relief late in the night after seeing that the problem was rectified as their options were in the original order. The fact that there was a patern, as the changed options showed the name of one particular IAS coaching institute in Hyderabad as the first option for many candidates though they had not opted for it at all, triggered speculation and soon candidates were using social media net working sites to share their confusion and agony.

With the reports of foul game doing rounds in allotment in IAS coaching institutes to the beneficiaries of the NTR Vidyonnathi scheme, a prestigious educational programme for which funds worth crores of rupees being spent, some of them even planned to stage a demonstration in front of the Social Welfare Department office at Tadepalli.

In response to emails sent to the Social Welfare Department, the officials promised to look into the problem on Monday since Sunday was a holiday, said reports. But the rectification spared the candidates prolonged period of anxiety.
