The AP Minister for Information and Technology Nara Lokesh has been dropped from a high level delegation that is visiting the United States to meet the ‘who’s who’ in information technology, agriculture, education and so on.
Nara Lokesh’s name was figured in the GO issued on April 28 about the tour. In another GO issued on May 2, the name was removed in the revised team. AP Economic Development Board informed the GAD that Lokesh and PS to Chief Minister Pendyala Srinivasa Rao were not travelling in the 17 member team.
Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Guttapalli Sai Prasad, Principal Secretary (Energy) Ajay Jai, Secretary (Industries) Solomon Arokia Raj, Principal Secretary (IT &C) Kaveti Vijayanand, Special Chief Secretary to Chief Minister ad Advisor to government Jakkampudi Adiseshaiah Chowdary, Non-Resident Telugu Affairs and Investments Adviser Ravi Kumar Vemuru and others will be accompanying the Chief Minister.
According sources the drop of Lokesh in the last minute to avoid political allegations that the duo was flying to US. Further more, Lokesh has to visit Visakhapatnam on May 5 and 6 and lead a delegation to New Delhi and to attend an IT conference from May 10 to 12.
