High Court stays transfer of 581 acres of land to CRDA

Justice M.S.Ramachandra Rao of Hyderabad High Court today stayed the transfer of 581 acres of land to the Capital Region Development Authority in Kurgallu village, Managalagiri mandal of Guntur district.

The judge was dealing with cases filed by Srinivasa Rao and others. They said they purchased the lands through registered sale deeds and the government claimed that they were assigned lands and the sales were invalid and hence were taken by the government off to the CRDA.

Justice S.V.Bhatt today directed the District Collector of Visakhapatnam to inform it by Monday the steps being taken to prevent unruly anti-social activities of alleged tourists on the hill top of the tribal village of Dallapalli, Paderu mandal of the district. The bench wanted the details of the tourist project being set up in the area. The judge was dealing with a writ petition filed by Vantala Laxmaiah and 11 others.
