High Court serves notices to Ronanki Gopala Krishna and others in a PIL

High court of judicature at Hyderabad for the State of Telangana and the State of Andhra Pradesh has today served notices to the Ronanki Gopala Krishna who secured 3rd rank in the Civil Service-2016 who allegedly got the rank with fake certificate of physical disability.

The High Court also served notices to the Secretary, Central Staff Training, UPSC Joint Secretary, AP Chief Secretary and others to file counter and posted the case for four weeks. A Division Bench comprising of Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice Tellaprolu Rajani dealing with a Public Interest Litigation petition filed by an advocate from Secunderabad M.Murali Krishna has issued orders. It may be realled that a PIL filed against allotment of rank to Ronanki Gopala Krishna

Putting forth his arguments, the petitioner Murali Krishna told to the court that though Gopala Krishna is not having any physical disability has submitted a fake certificate and got the rank under the quota. He brought the news in print media to the notice of the court. The Bench however said that it would not take the media reports into consideration. He informed the court that Gopala Krishna belongs to OBC and the eligibility marks is 110.66 while Gopala Krishna secured only 91.34 marks and under Divyangula quota, the eligibility marks are 75.34. he informed the court that Gopala Krishna did not get eligibility under OBC quota but got it under Divyangula quota, the base certificate itself is a fake one. He also gained time for writing the examination with the fake certificate, he informed the court.
