High Court of Judicature of Hyderabad will have six new judges

Union Minister of State for Law and Justice, Electronics and Information Technology P.P.Chaudhary said that new six judges will be appointed soon to the High Court of Judicature of Hyderabad.

Speaking to press, he said the recommendation had to be sent by the High Court collegium to the Central Government and to the Supreme Court collegium for the process to be completed. He said there would still be a lot of vacancies but the NDA Government’s record had been pretty good in filling vacancies to higher judiciary. The maximum appointments in High Courts and the Supreme Court were during the last three years compared to any previous regime.

The Union Minister said that the Central Government was ready to grant funds for the construction of High Court for Andhra Pradesh in that State as per court orders. He made it clear that the government recognized the need for a separate High Court for both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh as per the Bifurcation Act.
