High Court gives interim relief to Jagan Mohan Reddy in DA case

Justice Raja Elango of Hyderabad High Court on Thursday granted interim relief to YSRCP chief Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy by exempting him from personal appearances before the Special CBI court till end of June 2016.

The CBI court is trying the illegal investments case registered against him by the CBI. The CBI has filed 11 charge sheets against Jagan Mohan Reddy. He moved a petition in the High Court seeking exemption form personal appearance before the CBI Court every Friday contending that he being president of a political party and as an elected representative, it was essential for him to meet people and attend party meetings.

The CBI counsel sought time to file the counter. The Judge while adjourning the case to July 1 granted interim order exempting the appearance of Jagan Mohan Reddy before the CBI court.
