Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas calls on tribal people

AP Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas visited remote areas in Sitampet mandal of Srikakulam district to instill confidence among the tribal people.

The Minister visited places such as Kusimi, Malli, Jakkaravalasa, Manda, Kirapa, Pedarama and Devanapuram to know about their medical and health condition. He advised them not to eat the dead meat and drink only hot water. He advised them to not to keep the animals in their vicinity as it would lead to spread of diseases quickly.

Kamineni Srinivas enquired about the vacancies in the hospitals located in the Agency area. District Collector K.Dhanunjaya Reddy told him that the administration has issued notification for appointment of 9 pharmacists, 18 nurses and 45 ANMs and would be taken as early as possible. The Collector said that they will provide X-ray and other equipment to the hospitals and the patients need not go to Srikakulam and other places all the way for tests. New vehicles will be provided for all the hospitals in the Agency area, said the District Collector.
