HCL to create over 5,000 jobs – Lokesh hands over permissions

HCL Technologies that will be establishing its unit in Vijayawada with an estimated investment of Rs.500 crore in the next ten years for a development centre, training facility and other ancillary facilities.

Minister for IT Nara Lokesh today formally handed over the permissions to HCL founder and Chairman Shiv Nadar for establishing their unit. The parties executed a MoU on March 30 wherein they had agreed to the broad outline of the proposed investment by HCL in Vijayawada.

HCL aims to hire, employ and train 5,000 local residents across the two phases. HCL will develop its first centre at Kesarapalle village in Gannavaram mandal of Krishna district in a total area of 17.86 acres. The second centre will come up in 10 acres at Ainavolu village in the Amaravati capital region. The Minister had handed over the permissions, letter of allocation of land parcel for Phase I of the project.
