Group II candidates meet Jagan seeks his interference on cancellation of the examination and other demands

Group II candidates who appeared the APPSC that conducted Group II examination in which some irregularities took place are agitating met YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy and sought his interference.

They alleged that they took the issue to the notice of the government but lacks any response. They met him at the Lotus Pond and submitted a representation on Friday. They said that the APPSC has introduced preliminary and mains though it should have been conducted at one go. They brought to his notice tht the preliminary examination was conducted in off-line system while of the mains in online system and was entrusted to a private agency. As many as 5 lakh candidates had appeared for the preliminary examination and 49,100 were selected for the main examination that was held on July 15 and 16. After three days, it was known thorough social media that the examination paper was leaked and the screen shot was appeared in print media. They alleged that mass copying took place in 172 centres and they complained of the same to the APPSC but no response was received. The police used lathi charge and arrests were made. Under circumstances beyond control, they approached the Tribunal and it passed orders to stop the process till final orders.

The candidates sought the interference of Jagan in getting the examination cancelled and investigation has to be done by third party over the irregularities.

Jagan assured them that he would raise the issue in the Assembly session.
