Andhra Pradesh State government is contemplating to launch a nw initiative named ‘Talliki vandanam’ shortly.
Addressing the valedictory of the National Women’s Parliament at Pavitra Sangamam near here on Sunday, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu said the government would organize the programme on an auspicious day. All mothers would be invited to schools so that their children could wash their feet. He said that the initiative was taken as he was inspired by a programme in an Indonesian school.
Chandrababu Naidu said that the State would witness development only when women were respected. Respecting women was a tradition of this land, he said.
