Government orders for donations from students for Amravati construction

  • Seeks a minimum of Rs.10 donation from every student
  • Teachers too have to donate money
  • Orders effective from today

In the name of ‘Fund for Amaravati’, the State Government has issued orders to the District Educational Officers to collect donations from students with a minimum of Rs.10 per student for capital construction.

The Joint Director on behalf of School Education Commissioner VN Mastanaiah has issued orders in the name of ‘My Capital, My Amaravati, My Brick’. The orders said that a special programme has to be conducted for collecting the donations and the collections have to be started from Tuesday itself. The Regional Joint Directors and District Educational Officers will everyday review the programme said the orders and noted as ‘most urgent’.

There were 72 lakh students studying in 61.918 schools in government, private, residential and municipalities and the collection programme is aimed to get Rs.7.2 crore from students in the form of donations.
