The Revenue Department launched the campaign on March 27. It receive nearly 10.50 lakh applications from the students studying in more than 29,000 educational institutions. The department has disposed of 10.42 lakh applications by the end of July. The campaign is aimed at helping the students avoid the long grueling wait at the Mee Seva centres to receive the certificates.

Revenue Minister K.E.Krishna Murty said the campaign titled ‘Vidyardhula Sevalo Revenue Sakha’ was well received by the student community. He said that the Principals and Headmasters should take interest in gathering details of the students at the beginning of the academic year. We are looking into the reasons behind the pending applications, he said.

The managements of colleges and schools have to collect particulars of the students and submit the same to the VRO deputed for the purpose of proving the certificates to the SC/ST/BC and other students. The VRO would visit all the institutions and give the application forms.
