Andhra Pradesh State Government has decided to take apartments and villas of Raintree Management Inc. in the CRDA area on lease for a period of three years for the accommodation of Ministers, MLAs and All India Service Officers.
The Guntur District Collector held talks with the Rain Tree management on the direction of the Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu. Sources said that the finance minister has approved the proposals and a final call will be taken by the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
There are 500 Flats, 100 villas vacant in Rain Tree Park. The flats will be used for accommodating the AIS officers and the Villas for Ministers and MLAs. Sources said that the rent is Rs. 12,000 per flat and Rs. 30,000 per villa with a 7 per cent increase every year and the government has to pay two months’ rent as advance. However, the residents have to pay the maintenance charges according to Rain Tree management. The residents have to pay Rs. 500 per month for Gym, Rs. 600 for Swimming Pool, Rs. 500 for games. The rent will be credited in a specially opened account with HDFC bank. They sought exemption of 0.4 per cent stamp duty for agreement. Maintenance charges will be Rs. 1.50 per square yard and the residents have to pay water and electricity bills.
