Government appoints P.V.Sindhu as Deputy Collector

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu handed over the appointment letter appointing P.V.Sindhu as Deputy Collector in the category-II of the AP Civil Services (Executive Branch) Rules, 1992.

This was in recognition to her outstanding performance in the Rio Olympics who bagged silver medal in Badminton. Chandrababu asked her to participate in international competitions and win many more medals and prizes. He wanted her to strive for the development of sports in the State.

It may be recalled that Chandrababu Naidu had announced Rs.3 crore and a 1,000 sq.yards house site in the Capital area of Amaravati. Sindhu requested the government to appoint her as Deputy Collector and she would join the duty within 30 days. She would be on probation for two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. She had to undergo training as per the programme prescribed by the government from time to time. She has to execute an agreement bond that she will serve the Department for three years after completion of training.

It may be recalled that on February 24, 2017, the AP Government offers Deputy Collector’s job to P.V.Sindhu.
