Government announces free medical treatment on referral cards

The State Government announced introducing referral cards in case of medical emergency even though persons who do not have white ration card under Dr.Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Vaidya Seva scheme.

Those who like to utilize the services can obtain the CMCO referral cards and are valid only for a period of ten days from the date of issue. Every card holder will be allotted a number and can free treatment in the hospitals it directs. The medical services will be made available basing on the number allotted to referral cards to the hospitals it refers. The hospitals have to extend medical facilities under NTR Vaidya Seva scheme by taking permission from Arogya Sri Health Care Trust. The hospitals that extends treatment will be paid by Chief Minister’s Relief Fund through online.

The recognition will be cancelled to the hospitals if they collect money for the referral card holders. These cards are available at Trust clinic at NTR Lake View Guest House, Vijayawada, Kakinada, Kurnool, Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) and King George Hospital (KGH) hospitals. Persons desirous of having this facility can approach the hospitals mentioned and obtain cards by affixing their thumb impressions. Details can be had by dialing 104.
