Funeral of slain NRI techie and son performed in the absence of her husband

The funeral of the 38-year-old woman hailing from the State and her six year old son who were found murdered in New Jersey on March 24 was performed amid poignant scenes at the remote Thimarajupalem village, near Parchur in Prakasam district on Sunday.

The last rites were performed by N.Subba Rao, father-in-law of the woman N.Sasikala in the absence of her husband N.Hanumantha Rao was expected to perform them but did not turn up in the last moment. The bodies of the woman and son Anish Sai were earlier taken to Vijayawada for Sasikala’s parents and their relatives to pay their last respects.

Sasikala’s father S.Venkateswara Rao and mother Krishna Kumari had said that their son-in-law had an affair with a woman colleague there was allegedly behind the crime.
