Andhra Pradesh State Government has introduced a new scheme for giving coaching to Intermediate students appearing for medical and engineering entrance examinations to the student studying in model schools.
The scheme will be introduced from this current academic year according to sources. At present some private and corporate colleges have been extending coaching by collecting lakhs of rupees from the students. The aim is to extend free coaching to the poor students studying in rural areas. The School Education department has issued proceedings to this effect said the State Model Schools Principals and Teachers Association president P.Mohan Reddy.
Students studying in Model schools will be given one year coaching with all facilities with full free of cost. The selection of students will be based on an entrance test and those qualified will be given free coaching for one year.
