The Andhra Pradesh State Cabinet meeting held today has decided to lay foundation stone for the temporary Secretariat of the State on February 17 at 8.23am.
The temporary State Capital comes up at Velagapudi village in survey nos. 204 to 29\08 and 214/1. The Cabinet also decided to cancel the tenders of sand if quoted above Rs.500 per cubic meter and will call for short term tenders. The sale of sand will continue to be in the hands of DWCRA groups till the sand reaches are handed over to the agencies. The Private Medical Establishment Registration bill will undergo changes. The Cabinet also decided to establish tissue banks in the State.
Geo-tagging will be introduced to every vehicle that transports sand and will be supervised through control room. This will be reviewed every month in the cabinet meet.
It has been decided to entrust Prakasam and Dhawaleswaram to Dredging Corporation of India and the sand will be used for the construction of Amaravati.
The Cabinet allotted Rs.60 crore to Villages and Rs.25 crore to towns to handle water shortage situation.
To extend financial assistance to the family of Mostak Ahmed family who died in Siachen and also sanction of a house along with a job to the eligible one in the family.
