Former minister and ex-CBI Director Vijayarama Rao quits TDP

Telugu Desam Party senior leader, former minister and former CBI Director Vijayarama Rao has faxed his resignation letter to the party president.

Sources said that he wanted the party president to accept the resignation with immediate effect. However, he did not mention any reason for his resignation. He reportedly upset over the manner in which the TDP leadership has kept him aside from the party affairs.

Vijayarama Rao joined TDP ahead of 1999 elections and won from the Khairatabad constituency defeating Congress strongman and former CLP leader P.Janardhan Reddy. Chandrababu has accommodated him in his Cabinet. He had been keeping away from the party affairs for some time now.

Vijayarama Rao joins TRS

In a fresh development, Vijayarama Rao today formally joined TRS in presence of Minister of IT KT Rama Rao. Announcing of this, he said that he will be meeting the Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhara Rao in a couple of days to discuss his future course of plan. The announcement came following KTR met Vijayarama Rao at his residence today morning.
