Former Minister and TDP leader Devineni Nehru passed away

Former Minister and TDP leader Devineni Nehru passed away while undergoing treatment for kidney related disease at Care Hospitals at Banjara Hills. He is survived with a son and a daughter.

Devineni Nehru (Rajasekhar) was born on 22nd June 1954 in Vijayawada. He studied B.A. and entered into Agriculture profession. His father’s name is Sri D. Rama Krishna Vara Prasad. Nehru was married to Smt. Devineni Lakshmi and they have a son Avinash and one daughter.

Nehru got elected from Kankipadu constituency five times and one time to Vijayawada East Constituency. He worked as a Minister for Technical Education in NTR Cabinet. Rajasekhar won five terms in 1983, 1985,1989,1994 and 2004 as an MLA from Kankipadu Assembly Constituency.

Devineni Nehru the five time MLA recently shifted his loyalities from Congress to Telugu Desam Party in the last August. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu expressed his condolences over the death of Nehru. TDP leaders, Ministers and AP Assembly Speaker Dr.Kodela Siva Prasada Rao expressed condolences over his death.

According to sources, the final rites will be held on Tuesday.
