Former Minister Vatti Vasanth Kumar resigns Congress

Thursday, November 1, 2018

Former Minister and Congress senior leader Vatti Vasanth Kumar announced his resignation to the party in protest against sailing with the TDP.

He said that he will be sending his resignation letter to the party High Command on Friday. The meeting of AICC president Rahul Gandhi joining hands with TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu created tremors in the political arena. Congress leaders opine that the joining hands with TDP is nothing but axing the Congress party. Sources said that some leaders are likely to follow Vasanth Kumar.

Vasanth Kumar joined the Congress in 1970 and worked for over 45 years in the party. He said that Congress has taken unanimous decision in 2014 to divide the united Andhra Pradesh and the vote bank has come down to two percent. Even in such case, the party leader did not leave the party and have been working for regaining the party in a progressive front.
